At the helm of Harrison Design’s New York office is Matthew Korn. Korn is a seasoned architect with over 30 years of experience shaping the built environment in the northeast as sole proprietor of his own firm. In late 2015, with the merging of Harrison Design and Matthew Korn Architecture, the opportunity to spread the classical conversation blossomed.
The Brooklyn native credits his father with piquing Korn’s interest in all things hearth and home. Summer vacations in the Catskills with family afforded the curious young man the opportunity to work on job sites and exposed him to the priceless wisdom and tutelage of carpentry mentors. Matriculating from the University of Buffalo, Korn built his business with a keen understanding of the dovetailing of designers, suppliers and the allied artisans with whom a project is executed.
When not working on luxury residences, Korn voluntarily designs accessible homes for Building Homes for Veterans, a nonprofit organization providing homes to wounded Veterans.
