Located in the mountains outside Beijing, this popular tourist attraction mimics one of southern China’s historic water towns (canal towns). With the Great Wall’s Simatai section as backdrop, the picturesque village offers stunning settings and vistas.  The project encompassed master planning, schematic design and architecture to create the wedding destination. The small, mission-style church was renovated for classical balance, with many elements, including the altar and statuary, sourced from the U.S.  Classical Romanesque frescoes and panels were hand drawn for artisans to replicate. Along with the chapel, a venue for receptions with an outdoor terrace, gift shop and private apartment for the wedding party were designed.
