Celebrating its bay setting, this sunny Naples residence was designed as a blissful retreat for the owners, their children and grandchildren. The coastal transitional architecture incorporates elements of a relaxed West Indies aesthetic with more formal Anglo-Caribbean detailing. The design blurs inside and out through expansive windows, a spacious covered loggia with outdoor kitchen and fireplace, a series of inviting terraces, and front and back pools. At the entry, a Roman arch protects the glass-and-metal double door with its tall arched transom that allows unimpeded views through the home to the cove. The home’s U-shaped plan provides complete privacy for bedroom suites on two wings and expansive central rooms are ideal for family gatherings. Throughout the house, warm wood treatments are mixed with metallics and soothing shades of blue to create a contemporary yet traditional design.
