This home in Montecito was totally reimagined as a classic Spanish Colonial Revival that strongly relates to its environment and fosters a healthy outdoor lifestyle. The residence’s vaulted ceilings and tall windows showcase panoramic views of the harbor, coastline and Pacific, as well as the Santa Ynez Mountains. In the living room, a series of tall, glass-and-steel, arched doorways connect to an expansive terrace and pergola and a glass-and-steel door in the sunny kitchen allows easy access for al fresco dining. In the game room, a tall, wide, gridded window frames views. The second floor is dedicated to the master suite, which has a balcony and multiple windows to create a secluded aerie. While relatively unembellished, the residence has many fine details, including a custom fireplace, reclaimed timber ceiling beams, wrought-iron railings, a two-piece mission tile roof and copper gutters and downspouts.
